"The
Battle for Rinder: Chronicle of the Saga"
“The Battle for Rinder: Chronicle of the Saga” is now available in two parts: Volume One (Books 1-3) and Volume Two (Books 4-5). Each document is formatted for Microsoft Word and contains the full text of the adventures of "The Battle for Rinder." Features of these documents include: a table of contents which will allow you to jump directly to any turn in the story; a preface by the DM; the text of all turns from the included adventures including character elaborations, out of context additions, side conversations, as well as Prologue turns formerly sent to one character only; a complete list of all the Knights of Rinder who appear or are referred to; a list of quotes from the Scrolls of Anhur; and an extensive, cross-referenced index including all characters, major plot events, and quotable quotes.
“The Battle for Rinder: Chronicle of the Saga, Volume One (Books 1-3)” covers the first three adventures of the campaign, Turns 1.0 through 74.0. These adventures are: “The Hunt for Mazen,” “The Raimead Mine” and “Dire Struggle for Dillend.”
“The Battle for Rinder: Chronicle of the Saga, Volume Two (Books 4-5)” covers the fourth and fifth adventures of the campaign, Turns 75.0 through 124.0. These adventures are: “The Council of the Knights of Rinder” and “The Dwarven Blockade.”
“The Battle for Rinder: Chronicle of the Saga” is protected under applicable copyright laws. It may not be reproduced, in whole or in part, without the written permission of the author. It may not be distributed for profit. These documents are protected: These documents are
password-protected so that they cannot be modified, and all changes made to the
text are tracked by Word. When you open "Chronicle," you may be
prompted to enter a password to enable you to modify the document. Simply click on
"Read Only" to open the document.
These documents are extremely long! They are both over 270 pages long. It is therefore suggested that you print only the table of contents and the index for each document. That way, you can quickly look up where to find information in the text, and then can jump directly to the appropriate page. The actual files are emailed in a compressed “zip” file that reduces their size considerably for transport.
If you find errors: It is inevitable that you may find errors in the text. If/When you do, please email the DM so that corrections can be made for the next edition. Thank you!
What about the current adventure? These documents cover only Turns 1.0 through 74.0 and 75.0 through 124.0, that is, the first five adventures in the campaign (The Hunt for Mazen, The Raimead Mine, Dire Struggle for Dillend; The Council of the Knights of Rinder and The Dwarven Blockade). Turns after 124.0 and covering the current adventure (The Quest for the Ring of Fire Command) are available on this web site. They will be collected in a similar file (also indexed) once a substantial amount of text is available, at which time an announcement will be placed on the main index page of this site, on this page, and an email announcement will be sent to all current players.
